Hello friends! We're in the final two days of the Lazy DM's Companion Kickstarter! Thank you all so much for your outstanding support. If you haven't, please tell your friends, share the link below, and feel free to post about it on your favorite social media platform!
First, is the undead dragonborn by Matt Morrow! We have a few pieces of artwork like this throughout the book and I'll be sure to show them to you as I get them.
The second is a new map by Daniel Walthall. This is a general-purpose village map you can use as part of the "Protect the Village" adventure generator or any other time you need a quick map. All backers will get digital copies of these maps so you can drop it right into your favorite virtual tabletop or share it with your players however you wish.

Hello friend!
Tonight at 7pm ET on the Sly Flourish Twitch channel I'll host our fourth Lazy DM Companion in-depth livestream! Don't worry, Critical Role Season 3 doesn't start until 7pm PT; three hours later!
Last week we used the Lazy DM's Companion to build an actual adventure! Today we'll use the Companion in-depth to build out individual rooms and chambers of the dungeon for that adventure. We'll also use this time for any more Lazy DM Companion questions and answers. These livestreams are a great way to see what this book is all about and ask anything you want to ask about its content or the Kickstarter.

Hello! Support for the Lazy DM's Companion continues to blow me away! Thank you so much!
Last Thursday I hosted a live Lazy DM's Companion Q&A on Twitch and got some fantastic questions. You can watch both the first Q&A video and second Q&A video on YouTube now. The video descriptions include video contents lists with chapter stops so you can jump right to the question that interests you.
Tomorrow, 14 October 2021, at 7pm EST I'll be live on Twitch again this time using the materials from the Lazy DM's Companion to build an adventure! It should be an awesome time. Once again, I'll post the results to YouTube for those who can't be there live.
During the Kickstarter I've continued to work with Daniel Walthall on the maps that we're going to include. Daniel hand-draws his maps and here's a picture of the village map he's working on:
We're discussing colors for the map now!
I've also been working with Matt Morrow on the internal art. Here's a first draft of Matt's undead dragonborn knight!

Thursday night, 7 October, at 7pm EST I'll host my second Q&A livestream on the Sly Flourish Twitch channel and post it the following day on the Sly Flourish YouTube Channel. I'll have draft copies of the whole book available so we can dive into whichever ones you're interested to see.
If you won't be able to make it to the livestream but have questions about the book, the Kickstarter, or any of the specific topics in the book, please put your comments in this post and I'll either answer them directly or answer them on the show.

We've had so much outstanding support for this project, I cannot thank you enough!
Over the remainder of the campaign I'll post new updates once or twice a week with updates, video links, and other behind-the-scene materials. I plan to run a series of Q&A livestreams on the Sly Flourish Twitch Channel. I'll post an update with the next Q&A schedule once it's scheduled. In the meantime, feel free to post your questions to the comments and I'll add them to the list (and likely answer them here or add them to the FAQ). Here are some common questions I can answer. These have been added to the FAQ.
How long will it take to get our digital rewards of existing books? Do I really have to wait until next year??
You'll get digital versions of all existing books through BackerKit as soon as we receive funds and lock down BackerKit. Expect them by the middle to end of November. You'll also get the PDF of the Lazy DM's Companion as soon as the PDF is ready to give out in early 2022. The physical books are the long pole in the delivery tent hopefully mid 2022.
Will the digital versions of Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master, Fantastic Adventures, Ruins of the Grendleroot, and Fantastic Locations include the ePub versions along with the PDF?
YES! All versions that have an ePub version will include the ePub version with the digital purchase. The Lazy DM's Workbook and the Lazy DM's Companion don't lend themself well to ePub because of their heavily formatted nature so those won't have ePubs.
Will there be a retailer pledge level?
No, but as soon as we have the books in the Nord warehouse they'll be available to retailers through Nord! Finally I can support friendly local game shops with my books!
Really? No stretch goals?
Yeah, sorry. The Kickstarter is doing really well but because it's based heavily on off-set printing, it's very hard to gauge what the actual expenses will be once the book is ready to print so we have to be careful. We also want to focus all of our attention on getting this book and the offset printed versions of the Lazy DM series into your hands and not distract ourselves with stretch goals. It's going to be an awesome book full of the things we would normally hold off for stretch goals like maps and artwork.
